When your device appears in Bluetooth preferences, click Connect (or Pair). Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth. After removing the device, turn it off and back on. Move your pointer over the devices name, then click the remove button. But that may not be the best use case for you. On that Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth.

#Apple wireless mouse and keyboard software#
I’m a software engineer and some of my daily key combinations felt really weird on the keyboard.Īs far as keyboard, I currently use a mechanical across my devices. In the end, I decided against it due to my use case not working too well with the keyboard. Also if you’re looking to charge everything with a single cable, it has usb c. The keyboard really works well in situation where you need to type a lot of text. Pros: They last a long time, great battery life, usb c charging (unlike Apple which uses lightning), you can use it while charging, cross platform compatibility, huge amounts of software customization to make it your own, Bluetooth works great for one deviceĬons: Bluetooth does not work too great across multiple devices (the usb dongle it comes with works better), Price could be better but you get a lot for the moneyĪs far as the MX Keys, I got one because I wanted to be able to run a keyboard across all my devices (personal Mac, work Mac, windows desktop) and overall it worked great. I had the original for 7 years and just got the 3.

Personally I use the MX Master 3 mouse and it has not let me down yet. The keyboard is great, but if you’re going to be using this stuff for work/school then you will strain the heck out of your hand with the mouse. If you want easiest compatibility with your Mac and to stay within the Apple ecosystem 100%, then go for the Apple keyboard and mouse.
